The Role

Ask your friends and family on their experiences using your local agents & for names of specific members of staff within the branch they would recommend.

Professionalism

Ensure your Estate Agency follows official guidelines of a professional body such as the National association of the Estate Agents or the Property Ombudsman. Advertising

Providing professional photographs and floor plans as well as a description will also help demonstrate the size and scope of your property. Valuation

Valuing is not an exact science, therefore the most realistic way of your estate agent to reach an appropriate asking price for your property is by researching similar properties 'Sold' in your area and comparing them with yours. The highest valuation is not necessarily the best valuation. Some agents will give you an inflated valuation figure to try and win your business, but an overpriced house will attract viewers with too high expectations or even worse, no viewers at all. The key is for your property to be attractively priced, without selling yourself short.
